Associação Atlética Aparecidense


Associação Atlética Aparecidense, commonly known as Aparecidense, is a Brazilian football club based in Aparecida de Goiânia, Goiás state.

History

The club was founded on October 22, 1985. They won the Campeonato Goiano Third Level in 2002, and the Campeonato Goiano Second Level in 2010.
The team made national and international headlines in September 2013 in a Campeonato Brasileiro Série D knockout match against Tupi Football Club, when club physiotherapist Ramildo Fonseca entered the pitch to make a double save in the last minute, keeping the score at 2–2 so Aparecidense advanced on away goals. The team were relegated as punishment for his actions.
