Athlete Refugee Team
Athlete Refugee Team is the category under which refugees' athletes can compete at international IAAF competitions. Official IAAF logo is used as the team's flag.
They competed at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics, 2017 IAAF World Relays, 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships and 2019 World Athletics Championships.
One athlete was announced to compete at the 2018 European Athletics Championships, but finally he didn't start.Competition history
;2016 Summer Olympics
Six athletes competed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, representing the refugees for the first time. They competed under the Olympic Flag and were called Olympic Refugee Athletes. For the men Yiech Biel, James Chiengjiek, Yonas Kinde and Paulo Lokoro ; and for the women Anjelina Lohalith and Rose Lokonyen.
;2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games
Five athletes travelled to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to take part on the games. Due to the event being continental games, they competed under the Olympic Flag and were called Olympic Refugee Athletes again. They were Yiech Biel, Gai Nyang, Paulo Lokoro, Ukuk Utho'o Bul and Wiyual Puok Deng
;2017 IAAF World Relays
A men's 4 × 800 metres relay representing the refugee team competed in Nassau, Bahamas. The athletes were Gai Nyang, Paulo Amotun, Wiyual Puok and Dominic Lokinyomo.
;2017 IAAF World U18 Championships
Held in Nairobi, Kenya, three athletes took part: Mohammed Ahmed Abubakar, Lydia Philip Mamun and Sunday Kamisa Peter.
;2017 World Championships in Athletics
London, United Kingdom held the 2017 world championships. Five athletes traveled there to compete: Ahmed Bashir Farah, Dominic Lokinyomo Lobalu, Kadar Omar Abdullahi, and two women: Anjelina Lohalith and Rose Lokonyen.
;2018 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships
The 23rd edition of the event was held in Valencia, Spain and two refugee athletes were there to compete in the distance: Paulo Amotun Lokoro and Ukuk Utho'o Bul.
;2018 IAAF World U20 Championships
Tampere, Finland was the host of this events where two refugee athletes competed: Dominic Lokolong Atiol and Lydia Philip Mamun.
;2018 African Championships in Athletics
Hosted in Asaba, Nigeria, the event saw the biggest refugee athletes team ever competing. Yiech Pur Biel, Joseph Elia Ernesto and James Chiengjiek in 800m; Paulo Amotun Lokoro in 1500m; Dominic Lokinyomo Lobalu and Ukuk Otho'o Bul in 5000m; and Chajen Dang in javelin.
;2019 IAAF World Cross Country Championships
Two athletes competed in Aarhus, Denmark in the men's cross country race: Otmane Nait Hammou and Jamal Abdelmaji Eisa Mohammed.
