BDR Thermea


The BDR Thermea Group is a European manufacturer of domestic and industrial heating appliances. The firm was created by the merger of Baxi and De Dietrich Remeha in 2009. Based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands BDR Thermea provides heating and hot water products for UK, France, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands and Italy and has strong positions in the rapidly growing markets of Eastern Europe, Turkey, Russia, North America and China. In total BDR Thermea operates in more than 70 countries worldwide.
Currently employing around 6,300 employees worldwide, the BDR Thermea Group had a turnover of around 1.8 billion EUR in 2011, making it the third largest manufacturer of heating appliances in Europe.
The strategy of the Group involves marketing under multiple trade brands, with strong national operations in the major European economies allowing for rapid reaction to changes in local demand. The main brands include REMEHA, BAXI, CHAPPEE, BRÖTJE, DE DIETRICH, HEATRAE SADIA, MEGAFLO and OERTLI.
High efficiency boilers continue to be BDR Thermea's core product, and the needs of installers and end users differ by market sector and country. Heating products are designed to ensure easy installation and maintenance, as well as lower energy bills and reduced carbon emissions.
BDR Thermea is dedicated to developing new heating technologies that can play a major role in tackling climate change. The product range includes biomass boilers, solar collectors and heat pumps. The Group is market leader in the European emerging market for low carbon micro combined heat and power products.
