Bacteroidaceae
The family Bacteroidaceae is composed of five genera of environmental bacteria. The genus Capsularis used to exist prior to 1982, but its only species, B. zoogleoformans, was later deemed to be more closely related to the genus Bacteroides. Bacteroides is common in the human gastrointestinal microbiotia.
