Bear Lake, Kalkaska County, Michigan


Bear Lake is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Kalkaska County, Michigan, United States. Its population was 327 as of the 2010 census.

Geography

It is in eastern Kalkaska County, in the northwest part of Bear Lake Township. It consists of forested residential land around Bear Lake and the smaller Cub Lake, Mallard Lake, Upper Black Lake, and South Black Lake. M-72 is a state highway that runs through the south-central part of the CDP, south of the residential portion. M-72 leads east to Grayling and west the same distance to Kalkaska, the county seat.
