Bebe Miller
Bebe Miller is an American choreographer, dancer and director.Career
Miller was born in 1950 in Brooklyn, New York. Following her graduation from Ohio State University with a degree in dance, Miller danced in the troupe of Nina Wiener for six years. She formed her own company, Bebe Miller Dance, in 1984. Miller was a professor of dance at the Ohio State University from 2000 to 2017, holding the rank of Distinguished Professor in the Arts and Humanities when she retired. Miller was awarded with an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Ursinus College in 2009.Awards

- New York Foundation for the Arts Choreographer's Fellowship, 1984 and 1991;
- National Endowment for the Arts Choreographer's Fellowship, 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1988;
- New York Dance and Performance Award for choreography, 1986 and 1987;
- American Choreographer Award and John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship, both 1988;
- Dewar's Young Artists Recognition Award, 1990.
Miller received a 2006 Creative Capital Award in the discipline of Performing Arts. In 2010 she was named a Fellow by United States Artists. In 2012, Miller was awarded a Doris Duke Artist award.
