Bertam (state constituency)


Bertam is a state constituency in Penang, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Penang State Legislative Assembly.
The state constituency was first contested in 1974 and is mandated to return a single Assemblyman to the Penang State Legislative Assembly under the first-past-the-post voting system., the State Assemblyman for Bertam is Khaliq Mehtab Mohd Ishaq from the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, which is part of the state's opposition coalition, Perikatan Nasional.

Definition

The Bertam constituency contains the polling districts of Padang Benggali, Permatang Berah, Permatang Rambai, Permatang Sintok, Permatang Pak Elong, Permatang Bertam, Kepala Batas, Jalan Kedah and Pongsu Seribu.
