Betsy Cohen
Betsy Z. Cohen is the founder of Bancorp. She is known for her leadership in banking, financial law, real estate development and investing. At the age of 32, Cohen founded Jefferson Bank, later sold for over $370 million. While teaching at Rutgers University Law School, Cohen became the second female law professor on the East Coast after Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Today she serves as Chairman of the Board at FinTech Acquisition Corp.
Betsy serves in various capacities on the boards of the Asia Society and the Asia Society Policy Institute, the Brookings Institution, Jewish Theological Seminary, and Metropolitan Opera. She is also a Director for Aetna, Inc.Early life
Betsy studied philosophy at Bryn Mawr College where she graduated in 1963. She went on to receive a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1966.
