Bill Fiore


William Fiore was an American television, film and voice actor. Over his lengthy career, he appeared in television shows such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Tales from the Darkside, Law & Order and Rocket Power. He provided the voice for the character Darkel in the video game of 2001, Grand Theft Auto III, even though his character was deleted from the final game, his name is still credited.
Fiore also appeared in many television commercials during the 1960s and 1970s, including the famous "Hi, guy!" Right Guard antiperspirant ads with actor Chuck McCann, who appeared as his neighbor on the other side of a shared medicine cabinet. He also appeared in commercials for Sears DieHard automotive batteries.

Life and career

Fiore was born January 1, 1940 in Williston Park, New York. His first film role was in The Swimmer. He went on to appear in many television series and films, as well as multiple television adverts, throughout the rest of his career. He is perhaps best remembered for his appearances opposite comedian Chuck McCann, in the infamous "Hi, Guy!" advertisements for the deodorant, Right Guard. He lent his voice for 2001 video game, Grand Theft Auto III. Despite his character being cut from the game, his name is still credited.

Death

Fiore died on October 3, 2014 in New York City, at the age of 74.
