Binyomin Adler


Rabbi Binyomin Adler, is a prolific rabbi, author, and lecturer, who was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1969 and has since returned to live in his hometown.

Education

Rabbi Adler learned in Telz Yeshiva of Chicago, and then studied in Israel by Harav Tzvi Kushelevsky shlita, Rosh Yeshiva of Heichal Hatorah in Jerusalem's Givat Shaul, now Har Nof neighborhood.
In 1998, Rabbi Adler founded a yeshiva – Yeshivas Lev Yesharim – in Sanhedria, Jerusalem for American post high-school Yeshiva boys.

Career

In 1999 Rabbi Adler accepted a position in Baltimore, Maryland as a fundraiser for a local institute.
In 2000 he moved to Detroit where he worked as the Executive Director for Yeshivas Darchei Torah.
In 2015 Rabbi Adler moved to Chicago, following a fifteen-year stint of Torah dissemination in Detroit. He is continuing his Torah projects in the Windy City.

Public Torah Teaching

Following this stint, Rabbi Adler began to formally be marbitz Torah with his weekly Parsha sheets that are distributed in many shuls and kollels in the greater Detroit Orthodox Jewish community. His famous "Shabbos Taam Hachaim" has a wide global readership, as it gets emailed every Friday to many hundreds of readers.
In addition to the Shabbos page, Rabbi Adler uses his talent to pen the weekly Doresh Tov blog, which contains thoughts on the weekly parsha and/or inyoni d'yuma.
These blogs were all augmented by Hakosev, Adler's umbrella writing organization.
Rabbi Adler is also a frequent contributor to "Parsha Perspectives", a weekly column on Partners In Torah's website.
During the holiday of Purim, where most avreichim publish "Purim Torah" articles, Rabbi Adler authors a serious article on this yom tov, titled "Toras Purim".
In 2012 Rabbi Adler opened up Detroit's Maor Torah Center, where he teaches and lectures to members of that community. The Center was located at the Dovid Ben Nuchim shul on Lincoln Rd. in Oak Park, MI.
Sefer Poroshas Hakesef came out in 2005 in Detroit. This sefer explored the holiday of Purim and led the reader on a journey of the essence of the Megillah.
Rabbi Adler has also authored a Hagaddah Shel Pesach in 2011, where he uses his expert knowledge of Gematriya to bring out the deeper meaning of the Pesach Seder.
The following year, he published Doreish Tov on Chanuka, another gem-filled publication that shows Rabbi Adler's breadth of Torah knowledge.
During Operation Protective Edge, Rabbi Adler authored an emotion-filled kinnah, which was published on Matzav's website.
During the 2015 Palestinian wave of violence against Israel, Rabbi Adler authored another similar kinna, which again was published on Matzav.
