Blaine Trump


Blaine Trump is an American socialite and philanthropist.

Early life and education

Blaine Trump was born Martha Lindley Blaine Beard, and grew up in South Carolina, Florida and Alabama. Her father, Joseph Beard, was an executive at IBM. Blaine and her family moved to Yokohama due to her father's job when she was ten. There, she attended the International School of the Sacred Heart, and became fluent in Japanese. She later graduated from the American School of Paris in Louveciennes, and attended Bennett College in Millbrook, New York as of 1966. She also attended the University of Tokyo before dropping out to marry Peter Retchin.

Career

Trump has been a fundraiser for various organizations, including the American Ballet Theatre, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and God's Love We Deliver.
She is currently the vice chair of the board of directors at God's Love We Deliver, a nonprofit that delivers meals in the New York metropolitan area to people with severe illnesses. Trump is also a trustee of the American Ballet Theatre, a classical ballet company based in New York City. In 1998, Trump received the Marietta Tree Award for public service from the New York City citizen’s committee.

Personal life

Trump has been married and divorced twice, first to Peter Retchin and later to Robert Trump from 1980 to 2008. She had one child by Retchin, Christopher Hollister Trump-Retchin, who was adopted by her second husband Robert Trump. Her second marriage ended in a high-profile divorce, in which she was represented by attorney Robert Stephan Cohen., Blaine Trump was partners with entrepreneur Steve Simon.
In 2012, Trump put her $17.5 million mansion in Millbrook, New York up for sale.
