Book of Love 2001 Club Tour


The Book of Love 2001 Club Tour was a 2001 U.S. concert tour by American electronic group Book of Love, in support of the act's newly released best of compilation, ', which was released in March 2001. In April, three weeks after the release of their 'best of' record, the band embarked on a short six date promotional tour in which they played four to five songs to a backing track.
On May 12, the band played at the GLAAD Media Awards in Washington, D.C. Throughout June 2001, the band played another string of live dates, this time with a full set and equipment.
The first show of the official tour took place on June 1, 2001, at the in Washington D.C. The first leg of the tour visited other major cities of Chicago, El Centro, Denver, Dallas, and ending in Houston, TX. The band took a break before playing the drag festival Wigstock on September 2, 2001, and then took time out of their tour schedule after band member Lauren Roselli Johnson gave birth to a child. The Wigstock show was the only one that featured an appearance by band member Jade Lee. The final leg of the tour began on October 11, 2001, in El Paso TX., and then various dates in Texas, New York, San Francisco, L.A, and back to Houston, TX on November 21, 2001, which effectively ended the support and promotion of their 'best of' album,
