The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office serves the county of Brazoria County, Texas which has more than 200,000 citizens. The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office is the oldest law enforcement agency in the State of Texas.

History

The sheriff's office was formed in March 1836 when then the Republic of Texas established it. The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office became the first law enforcement agency in Texas.
