The British International School, Cairo is a private British school in Beverly Hills, a compound within the 6th of October City, in Greater Cairo, Egypt.
BISC is a well established 3-18, IB World School offering the IB Diploma, GCSE and a National Curriculum related programme. BISC was established in 1976 to provide an education based on British principles and curricula for the children of the expatriate British and Anglo-Egyptian communities; children from the Commonwealth and other countries with educational systems based upon British standards; and children of the English-speaking Egyptian community and other nationalities tied to British-type schooling. The majority of teaching staff are recruited from the UK and the school belongs to BSME and COBIS.
BISC was previously in Zamalek. It moved from its Zamalek location in September 2008 to its new purpose built campus in the residential compound of Beverly Hills. BISC has an extensive campus with excellent facilities including a theatre, Olympic swimming pool and age appropriate learning spaces for all students.
BISC is an independent, fee-financed, not for profit school authorised by the Ministry of Education. The Good Schools Guide International states that the school "offers a world class education – the best in Egypt – and prestige. To be a BISC graduate certainly says something." The school is regularly inspected by BSO and is one of only a handful of schools certified by COBIS within Egypt.

Admissions

Entry to BISC is selective. Prior to admission, students undergo assessments tests and interviews with the Heads of Schools.
