Brotherhood Without Violence
The Brotherhood Without Violence is a movement within the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. It was established on 10 July 2013 by approximately 500 young members of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, though it has since expanded to about 1,400 members. The founder of the group is Ahmed Yahia. The media spokesman is Hussein Abdel Rahman. The members have called for new elections to be held to the guidance bureau of the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood Without Violence movement has backed Hamdeen Sabahi in the 2014 Egyptian presidential election. The logo of the group replaces the swords in the Muslim Brotherhood logo with olive branches.
