Bryan Róchez


Bryan Giovanni Róchez Mejía is a Honduran professional footballer who plays as forward for Nacional in the LigaPro and the Honduras national football team.

Club career

Real C.D. España

Róchez made his senior debut for Real C.D. España in 2012. During the 2013–14 season Róchez scored 20 league goals for Real C.D. España to finish as the second highest goalscorer in the Liga Nacional de Honduras.

Orlando City SC

beat multiple other MLS teams to secure the signing of Róchez ahead of the 2015 season. He was made one of their designated players alongside Kaká and Carlos Rivas. For their first match on 8 March 2015, a 1–1 home draw against fellow newcomers New York City FC, Róchez entered as a substitute in the 80th minute in place of Lewis Neal. Róchez scored his first goal for Orlando City on 13 September 2015, in a 3–1 win against Sporting Kansas City.
He was loaned to Orlando City B in March 2016.

Atlanta United FC

Having spent the remainder of the 2016–17 season on loan in his native Honduras with former club Real España, Bryan Róchez was waived by Orlando City on 17 March 2017. However Róchez was quickly claimed off waivers by new expansion side Atlanta United FC.

Nacional

Róchez was waived by Atlanta on 22 August 2017 and joined Portuguese LigaPro side C.D. Nacional.

International career

Róchez has been capped by Honduras up to senior level. He won the gold medal with the national under-20 team at the 2013 Central American Games.
He was called up to represent Honduras for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand. He scored two goals, including the game winner, in their first Group F match, a 4–3 win over Uzbekistan.
