Bursa corrugata


Bursa corrugata is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Bursidae, the frog shells.
The subspecies Bursa corrugata lineata Nowell-Usticke, 1959 has become a synonym of Bursa granularis

Distribution

This marine species occurs in the Atlantic Ocean off West Africa, the Canary Islands, Cape Verdes and Brazil; in the Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico and the Lesser Antilles.

Description

The maximum recorded shell length is 75 mm.

Habitat

Minimum recorded depth is 2 m. Maximum recorded depth is 137 m.
