Buxar is connected to the state capital Patna by rail routes and there are direct trains from Buxar to the metro cities of India like Bangalore, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Pune, Surat, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Mumbai.
