CFU-GM is a colony forming unit. It is derived from CFU-GEMM.
The "GM" stands for "granulocyte, monocyte".
It is the precursor for monoblasts and myeloblasts.
Production is stimulated by granulocyte macrophage colony-stimulating factor.Granulocytes
