COPSS Presidents' Award


The COPSS Presidents' Award is given annually by the Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies to a person who is either under the age of 41 throughout the award calendar year, or under age 46 throughout the award calendar year and will have received a terminal statistically-related degree no more than 12 years prior to that year, in recognition of outstanding contributions to the profession of statistics. It is awarded by the five sponsoring statistical societies:
The presentation of the award takes place at the annual Joint Statistical Meetings.
The COPSS Presidents’ award, along with the International Prize in Statistics, are generally considered the two highest awards in Statistics.
