Camillo Tutini

Camillo Tutini was an Italian historian.

Life

Tutini initially studied at the Certosa di San Martino in Naples and - between 1628 and 1630 - lived in Naples with his mother and two of his sisters. Tutini later became part of the city's scholarly and literary circles. He entered a monastery, but soon left it to continue studying and to be ordained a priest.
Tutini died in poverty in the Ospedale di Santo Spirito in Rome.
