Canyon Lakes Ranger District
The Canyon Lakes Ranger District is part of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and the Pawnee National Grassland in the United States, specifically on the Roosevelt National Forest. This land is a part of the United States Forest Service. It is located in north-central Colorado in Larimer County and encompasses. The Canyon Lakes District Office is located in Fort Collins, Colorado.
A variety of recreation opportunities exist on the district, along with many traditional uses such as firewood gathering and grazing. The Canyon Lakes Ranger District is home to four wilderness areas, three national recreation trails, two historic districts and Colorado's only Wild and Scenic River the Poudre River. There are over 350 miles of trail to explore on the district and 22 developed campgrounds.
