Caravaggio, Lombardy


Caravaggio is a town and comune in the province of Bergamo, in Lombardy, Italy, east of Milan.

History

The town received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree on December 22, 1954.

Geography

Caravaggio borders with the municipalities of Bariano, Brignano Gera d'Adda, Calvenzano, Capralba, Fornovo San Giovanni, Misano di Gera d'Adda, Morengo, Mozzanica, Sergnano and Treviglio. Its frazioni are Masano and Vidalengo.
