Carole Johnstone
Carole Johnstone is a Scottish horror short story writer.Biography
Carole Johnstone is from Lanarkshire, Scotland though she lives in north Essex. Johnstone first published a short story in 2008. Since then she has won a British Fantasy Award in 2014 for her short story Signs of the Times as well as having had numerous nominations. Johnstone has had work published by Interzone magazine, Black Static and Apex Magazine. Her work has been selected by Ellen Datlow for the Best of the Best and Best Horror of the Year, by Paula Guran for the Year's Best Dark Fantasy and Horror series and by Salt Publishing for Best British Fantasy. Her work makes a regular appearance on the Locus Recommended Reading List. Her debut novel, Mirrorland, one of the top prized books from the London Book Fair, has been optioned for television.Novel
