Catherine Vickers
Catherine Vickers is a Canadian pianist, born in Regina.
She won the 1979 Concorso Busoni and was awarded the 1981 Sydney Competition's 3rd prize. Vickers subsequently settled in Germany, where she is a professor at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and the artistic director of an electronics-piano festival at Karlsruhe's Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. She is known for her work at the contemporary music scene.
