Celina High School (Texas)


Celina High School is a public high school located in Celina, Texas, United States. It is part of the Celina Independent School District located in northwestern Collin County and classified as a 4A school by the UIL. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

The Celina Bobcats compete in the following sports:
In 2010, Kenny Chesney wrote a song called "The Boys of Fall". The scenes for the high school football portion of the music video were shot in Celina.

State titles

Celina High School is best known for its football program which has eight state championships, tied with four other teams for the most in Texas.. The football team also has the UIL-record 68-game winning streak. The team was also the subject of the documentary The Power, Passion and Glory.

The Celina High School Band particularly excels at concert band. It has received eleven consecutive sweepstakes awards and recently won a double state championship in the Outstanding Performance Series, but it has also obtained many other awards in both concert and marching band, including a trip to the UIL State marching competition in 2005.
The Celina Choir department has won numerous competitions.
