Central Coast Highway


The Central Coast Highway is a highway through the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. It connects the Pacific Motorway at Kariong with the Pacific Highway at Doyalson.
The highway is named after the region it goes through, The Central Coast. It was officially named by the New South Wales state government on 9 August 2006 to provide an easily identifiable route for visitors to the region.
When the alphanumeric routes were being introduced into New South Wales, The entire Central Coast Highway was assigned A49 in mid 2013. Before that, the highway carried the State Route 83 designation previously held by the Pacific Highway from Kariong to Gosford, where the Pacific Highway recommences.
