Cesare Alpini Cesare Alpini is an Italian art historian. Born in Crema, Lombardy , he specialises in art from that city and Lombardy more widely. He is most notable for his contributions to scholarship on Giovanni Battista Lucini and Gian Giacomo Barbelli .
