Chanchalguda Central Jail
Chanchalguda Central Jail is one of the oldest jails in the country located in Hyderabad, India. This is located in the old city of Hyderabad at Chanchalguda. Its chief architect was Nawab Khan Bahadur Mirza Akbar Baig. It was constructed during the regime of Nizam ruler by name Nizam–Ul–Mulk.
The jail has a capacity of 1000 inmates, achieved 100% literacy during 1989–90. This was made possible with the introduction of adult literacy program.
