Cheam High School


Cheam High School is a mixed sex academy school located in Cheam, London Borough of Sutton, South London. It consists of a lower school, for those aged between 11–16, in which each year group consists of 300 students and a sixth form for 17-18
The school has specialisms in languages and the arts. The previous headteacher was Miss Rebecca Allott who succeeded Mr TJ Vaughan on his retirement in 2000. As of 2017, she is Executive Principal and Mr Pete Naudi is Headteacher.

Awards

The school holds the Artsmark Silver Award from the Arts Council to recognise the high quality of work in various aspects of the curriculum including art, drama, music and dance. It also has the Sports Mark Award recognising it's out-of-hours sports program.

Inspections

Cheam High School received "Outstanding" Ofsted reports in both 2007 and 2010. This is the highest grade Ofsted award and only 20% of schools received it. Furthermore, in 2015 Ofsted yet again described Cheam High School as 'outstanding'
