Chengdu railway station


Chengdu railway station is one of the 3 major railway stations in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, the others being Chengdu South railway station and Chengdu East railway station.
The station is located on North Second Ring Road, Jinniu District, to the North of the city centre. It is governed by Chengdu Railway Bureau and is one of the most important hubs of the railway network in China.

Nicknames

This railway station is commonly called by locals as "火车北站", as the connecting Chengdu Metro station is called. However, confusingly there is another officially named Chengdu North railway station, north of this station, which is a large freight marshalling area and handles no passengers.

Chengdu railway station is the terminus of the main Baoji–Chengdu railway line, Chengdu–Chongqing railway line, Chengdu–Kunming railway line, Chengdu–Dujiangyan high-speed railway line, and Dazhou–Chengdu railway line.
