The Chevrolet Trailblazer is a subcompact crossover slotted between the Trax and the larger Equinox sold in China. It will make its debut in North America in 2020 as a 2021 model.

Overview

The Trailblazer was launched on 16 April 2019 at the 18th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition alongside the Tracker, that both replace the outgoing Trax. It is a compact crossover that will be aimed for developed markets while the subcompact Tracker will be aimed for emerging markets. Developed by GM Korea, the Trailblazer will be assembled in Incheon, South Korea.
The Trailblazer made its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2019, and will be sold in the United States starting in early 2020 as a 2021 model year vehicle. Chevrolet announced that the MSRP will be priced below US$20,000. There will be five trim levels: L, LS, LT, ACTIV and RS. The latter two will come standard with dual exhaust and top of the line features. The ACTIV and RS will also feature a two-tone roof.

The latter will also be optional on the LT Front Wheel Drive. All RS and ACTIV models, regardless of drivetrain, will include the 1.35-liter engine as standard equipment. All Trailblazers will be equipped with continuously variable transmission as standard.

Infotainment

The Trailblazer will feature a standard Chevrolet Infotainment 3 touchscreen infotainment system with an AM/FM stereo radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, Bluetooth for hands-free calling and wireless stereo audio streaming, USB and auxiliary inputs, and a rearview backup camera system, as well as either a four-speaker or six-speaker audio system, OnStar with 4G LTE Wi-Fi capabilities, and either a seven-inch or eight-inch touchscreen display. Up-level Trailblazer models will offer Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, a Bose premium audio system with an amplifier, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and HD Radio. GPS navigation will also be offered as an optional feature on up-level trims of the Trailblazer.
