Chief of Staff to the United States Secretary of State


The Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State is the coordinator of the supporting staff and primary aide to the United States Secretary of State. The current position of Chief of Staff is vacant since March 31, 2018, following the resignation of Margaret Peterlin, who was appointed by former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
