Chitra Pournami (film)


Chitra Pournami is a 1976 Indian Tamil language film, directed by P. Madhavan and produced by Sri Bhuvaneswari Movies. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Jayalalithaa, R. Muthuraman and C. R. Vijayakumari in lead roles. The film had musical score by M. S. Viswanathan.

Plot

Sengodan's parents are murdered by their landlord and his sister gets separated from him. Several years later, he plans to kill the landlord, but is shocked upon realising that his sister is now the landlord's daughter-in-law and leads a peaceful life. He too falls in love with the landlord's daughter. Sengodan now has to decide which is greater, revenge or his present relations.
