Chris Porter (footballer, born 1885)


Thomas Christopher Porter was an English amateur football inside forward who played in the Football League for Stockport County and Glossop. He scored 13 goals in 8 appearances for England Amateurs and was a member of the Great Britain squad at the 1908 Summer Olympics, but did not play.

Personal life

Porter enlisted as a private in the Manchester Regiment during the First World War and was killed at Gallipoli on 4 June 1915. He is commemorated on the Helles Memorial.
