Clarendon, Queensland


Clarendon is a rural locality in the Somerset Region, Queensland, Australia. The origin of the suburb name is from a railway station which was named Clarendon after a nearby lake of the same name.

History

Clarendon Post Office opened on 1 July 1927 and closed in 1951.
Lake Clarendon State School opened in June 1902 and caters for students from Prep to Year six.
