Cliff Alleviation at the Last Minute Act

The Cliff Alleviation at the Last Minute Act is a bill introduced on 30 December 2012 by United States senator Joe Manchin in order to alleviate problems related to the 2012 fiscal cliff crisis. The measure would spread out the tax increases over 3 years instead of them immediately taking effect, and would give the Office of Management and Budget greater flexibility in choosing where cuts would be made.
