Cocoa House


Cocoa House, completed in 1965 at a height of 105 metres, was once the tallest building in tropical Africa. It is located in the city of Ibadan in Oyo State, Nigeria, and it was built from proceeds from commodities of the then Western State of Nigeria.

Ile Awon Agbe

Cocoa House, the 26-storey Cocoa House, Ibadan, is the property of Odu'a Investment Company Limited, Ibadan formerly known as "Ile Awon Agbe"-translates as the "House of Farmers" was commissioned for use in August 1965. This building is owned by Wemabod Estates Limited, a subsidiary of O'dua group of companies.
The building was gutted by fire on January 9, 1985 and rehabilitated for use in August 1992.
