Coffeeshop Company


Coffeeshop Company is an Austrian family enterprise and part of the Schärf Group of companies. It has specialized in the production of high quality Espresso coffee from highland Arabica coffee beans. Coffeeshop Company operates as a franchise based system of coffee shops in Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Turkey, Morocco, Egypt, the United States, Russia, Slovenia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Mexico and other countries. The headquarters of the Coffeeshop Company is located in Neusiedl am See, Austria.

History

The Coffeeshop Company was founded in 1999 as a part of the Schärf Group. In the same year the first Coffeeshop Company shop in Vienna was opened. The slogan “Home in Vienna” as a part of the Coffeeshop Company’s logo refers to the opening of this first store in Vienna. In 2001 the Coffeeshop Company became an individual enterprise within the Schärf group of companies.
Since 2004, further expansion was undertaken, specifically in the new member states of the European Union as well as in Arabian markets. In 2008, the first Russian branch of Coffeeshop Company was opened in St. Petersburg.
In 2017, Reinhold Schärf handed over the company to his son Marco Schärf, who is now the CEO of Coffeeshop Company.
Since October 2018, Coffeeshop Company has a cooperation with Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien. According to Coffeeshop Company's device, "Home in Vienna", international stores are supplied with high-quality copies of KHM masterpieces as well as pictures of the museum's architecture.
In 2019, the Coffeeshop Company is present in 20 countries with around 250 shops and aims to expand concentrating on Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and MENA region.

Company

Coffeeshop Company is a coffee based franchise system. Since 2001 the Coffeeshop Company is a separate enterprise within the Schärf group of companies. At the moment the company counts to 95 employees working in different departments from service to marketing.
The Coffeeshop Company is a re-interpretation of the traditional Viennese café, bringing together the coffee to go trend and the typical Viennese coffeehouse culture. For their coffee specialties, only direct trade Highland – Arabica beans are used and processed in the in-house coffee roastery in Neusiedl am See.
