The Government College of Engineering, Kallooppara, located in the hills of Pathanamthitta district, is an engineering college of South India. It was started under the aegis of the Institute of Human Resources Development. The college is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education. The college started its functioning from 1999 onwards. From the operational perspective the college is the 5th college of IHRD established in Kerala after Model Engineering College, College of Engineering Chengannur, College of Engineering, Adoor and College of Engineering Karunagappally The permanent affiliation obtained in the year 2004.
