narrow
waterway
separating
the
northeastern
tip
of
Southampton Island
from the
western
shore
of
White Island
in Nunavut's
Foxe Basin
. It is also the western
entrance
to the
Duke of York Bay
.
Comer Strait was named for
American
whaling
captain
George Comer
.
