Communist Party (Denmark)


The Communist Party is a communist political party in Denmark.

History and profile

The party was formed in 2006 through the merger of Communist Party of Denmark and Communist Unification.
The party publishes Dagbladet Arbejderen, a daily newspaper.
Other communist parties in Denmark includes KPiD and DKP.

Popular support and electoral results

In local elections the party doubled its proportion of the vote in Copenhagen, from 0.2% in 2009 to 0.4% and 1,171 votes in the 2013 election. In Aarhus, the party ran on a joint list with the Communist Party in Denmark, which obtained 0.2% and 345 votes in 2013.
