Countable is a for-profit civic technology company based in San Francisco and founded on May 1, 2013. Led by Co-Founder and CEO Bart Myers, Countable was founded to lower barriers to civic entry and power purpose-driven campaigns, companies, and causes. Today, the Countable network encompasses its consumer website and mobile application Countable.us that makes understanding and communicating with the U.S. Congress easier, enterprise Countable Pro solutions for purpose-driven companies, campaigns, organizations, and causes, and online campaigning platform Causes.com.

Countable.us

Countable.us is a website and award-winning iOS and Android application designed to lower barriers to civic entry. Streamlining how users understand the laws that Congress is considering, Countable simplifies the process of contacting your lawmaker by email, user-generated video message, or phone call. The application provides succinct and non-partisan summaries of upcoming and active legislation, allows users to tell their lawmakers ‘Yea’ or ‘Nay’, and sends updates on how lawmakers voted. It also covers breaking news stories, and invites users to weigh in on polls, petitions, and opinion questions about pressing political and social issues.
The platform is responsible for over 30 million messages to Congress and was featured in a 2014 New York Times piece on political apps. It has also been featured in GQ, Wired, and Tech Crunch.

Countable Pro

Countable Pro represents the enterprise arm of Countable. With a full suite of digital audience engagement products, Countable licenses its solution for purpose-driven companies, organizations, campaigns, and causes as an all-in-one hub for education, impact, community, advocacy, and re-engagement. The company’s hallmark product is the White Label Action Center, a custom website that enables content creation, facilitates audience engagement, drives organic community growth, and allows for programmatic re-engagement.

Causes.com

In 2019 Countable acquired civic technology company Brigade and Causes.com. The Causes online campaigning platform enables people who support a common social cause to take action together for grassroots and awareness campaigns. Causes was co-founded by Sean Parker and Joe Green.
