Courtney Webb (sportswoman)

Courtney Webb is a cricketer and Australian rules footballer from Launceston, Tasmania. She currently plays for the Melbourne Renegades in the Women's Big Bash League, predominantly as a batter, after signing with the club ahead of the 2018–19 season. Webb delivered a breakout performance on 17 November 2019 against the Sydney Sixers at Drummoyne Oval, hitting a six off the final ball for victory and earning player of the match honours.
In the Women's National Cricket League, Webb is a member of the Tasmanian Tigers, fulfilling an allrounder role in the 50-over format of the game.
Webb also played for Carlton in the AFL Women's competition. After being passed over in the national draft some days earlier, Webb was ultimately drafted by the Blues with their third selection and the 17th pick overall in the 2017 AFL Women's rookie draft. She made her debut in a 73-point loss to Western Bulldogs at VU Whitten Oval in round 4 of the 2018 season.
In April 2019, Webb was delisted by Carlton. Despite injuries and the struggle to balance two sports, it was reported she would continue to play football at local level for Launceston and hadn't ruled out attempting to return to the AFLW in the future.
