Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012


Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Croatian entry was selected through an internal selection, organised by the Croatian broadcaster HRT. Nina Badrić represented Croatia with the song "Nebo", which failed to qualify from the second semi-final, achieving 12th place with 42 points.

Before Eurovision

Cancellation of Dora

On 22 November 2011, HRT announced their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. HRT also announced that Dora 2012 would undergo big changes, with famous Croatian singers being invited and with the ability to choose their own songwriters. It was later announced that Dora was cancelled due to low interest.

Internal selection

On 10 January 2012, Nina Badrić confirmed that she would represent Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku. Her song "Nebo" was released on 8 February 2012.

At Eurovision

Croatia competed in the second half of the second semi-final, on 24 May 2012, following Slovenia and preceding the Sweden. Croatia received 42 points and placed 12th, thus failing to qualify for the final on 26 May.
