Curt Bader
Curt Bader is an American sprint canoer who competed from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. He was eliminated in the semifinals of the K-4 1000 m event at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. In a strange episode during a post-event interview a question about Polish Canadian paddlers Marek Dopierała and Marek Łbik launched Bader onto a tangent about Polish immigrants, leading the Olympic Committee to penalize him for "expressing anti-Polish sentiment". Eight years later in Atlanta, Bader was eliminated in the semifinals of the same event.
