Curt Smith (baseball)
Curt Smith is a Dutch minor league baseball player who is a free agent. He is also a member of the Dutch national team. He played for Team Netherlands in the 2019 European Baseball Championship, and at the Africa/Europe 2020 Olympic Qualification tournament in Italy in September 2019.Career
Smith was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals out of the University of Maine in the 39th round of the June 2008 First-Year Player Draft. At Maine, Smith was named America East Player of the Year in 2008.
Smith was named MVP after the 2011 Baseball World Cup.
