Daisy Bopanna


Daisy Bopanna is an Indian actress who appears in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil language films.

Personal life

Bopanna is from Kodagu. She attended Aurobindo School, pre-university at Kumarans College and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Chitrakala Parishat in Bangalore, Karnataka. She married Amit Jaju in 2011.

Career

She started with theatre, working for a short time with B. Jayasri's Spandana theatre camp and also contemporary English theatre. Her first movie Bimba was sent to the prestigious Berlin & Frankfurt Film Festival, winning international awards. The movie, directed by Kavitha Lankesh, explored the exploitation of child artistes in the film industry. Her later work in Bhagavan with Darshan earned her the tag of "Spicy Daisy".
She then acted in Rama Shyama Bhama, Thavarina Siri, Aishwarya, Satyavaan Savitri, Gaalipata, Olave Jeevana Lekkachara, Crazy Loka and other films.
