Dale Hill Golf Club

Dale Hill Golf Club is a private golf club in Wadhurst, East Sussex, in England.
It is owned by Leaderboard Golf along with four other golfing venues in the South East including The Oxfordshire Golf Club near Oxford, Sandford Springs Golf Club near Basingstoke and Newbury, Chart Hills Golf Club near Ashford in Kent and The Leaderboard Golf Centre in Reading.

History

After Paul Gibbons sold his shares in Hurst Publishing and Auto Trader, he created the Leaderboard brand and negotiated the purchase of Dale Hill Golf Club.
After the purchase, the facilities at Dale Hill were completely refurbished under the guidance of Paul’s wife, Jennifer.
The original Dale Hill ‘Old Course’ was complemented by the introduction of the ‘Woosnam’ golf course in 1997. It was designed by European golf legend Ian Woosnam, who described it as follows: "The course has been designed to have the perfect balance – tough enough for the pros and easy enough for the amateurs – and can be enjoyed by all."
Reviewed in Today’s Golfer in 1998, it was described by Courses Editor Kevin Brown as a ‘a little masterpiece in beautiful countryside on the Kent/East Sussex border’.
Like the other Leaderboard courses, it is part of Leaderboard Golf’s ‘Premier Golf Alliance’ in allegiance with high-profile golfing venues like La Manga in Spain and Gleneagles in Scotland.
As with other Leaderboard-owned courses, Dale Hill regularly plays host to high-profile golfing events such as The PGA Southern Professional Championship.
