Damar, Artvin


Damar is a belde in Murgul district of Artvin Province, Turkey. At it is just at the south east of Murgul. The population of the town was 807 as of 2013 which shows a sharp decline from 1233 in 2011. The town was once a district center. But in 1950 its status was reduced to a township. Damar is a mining town and is one of the main producers of copper in Turkey.
